A Blue Haven Resort Wedding Anniversary:

John and Tashima met in High School over 20 years ago, but never dated. They hardly even said “hi” or “bye” to one another. Their friendship developed in 1998 while working at the same Investment Banking Firm just several years after graduating High School. The couple began to date in 2004, got engaged the following year (Funny proposal story) and married on August 11th. 2007. The couple are total opposites. John is laid back and calm while Tashima is a high energy firecracker. BUT, they balance each other which keeps the marriage solid. It’s true, opposites attract! Within their circle of love is their smart, bright, handsome son “Jackson” who is the absolute joy of their lives. When the couple welcomed Jackson in 2012, after several years of trying to conceive, they gained a new prospective of “true love”. They understood that parenting; like marriage, doesn’t come with a manual and they had to figure out what works best for their family.

Fast – forward to 2017, John and Tashima can now say their uniqueness, obstacles and love for one another carried them to 10 years of marriage. On August 11th, 2017, a picture – perfect day! #FlowersIDoTakes2 once again confessed their commitment in front of family and friends at the beautiful Blue Heaven Resort in Turks & Caicos where John & Tashima stayed at a year a half prior to while vacationing and celebrating Tashima’s 40th birthday. They loved the people and resort so much, they just HAD to go back and celebrate something special once more. The song John and Tashima entered the ceremony to was “Legacy Of Love” by Kindred The Family Soul. One line in the song sums their relationship up… “We took the time to craft the way our story is told”. Yes, they were confronted with trials and tribulations and it was how they handled them that brought them this far and will take them even further. The couple’s relationship sets the bar for their very close friends in which many view them as their “favorite couple”.

As long as they touch one heart, they know their love will grow on – another line from “Legacy Of Love”.
