It feels like only yesterday when we did our first Turks and Caicos family portrait with the Magniers in Providenciales. Their daughter, Sylvie, was only a couple of years old and their son, Ludovic, hadn’t even been born yet. This first family session was at their previous home at the Providenciales Golf Course and we still have a canvas print from it on display our office entrance.
Just about a month before Christmas, Erica Magnier contacted us to book one of our one hour family photo sessions and this time they wanted to do it at their beautiful new home in Leeward. As this was going to be a morning shoot, I decided to go to their house a few days before the session to check out the light and possible photo locations.
It was an early start on December 28th, the day of the shoot, and we kicked off their session with photos outside of Ludovic whilst some of the family members were finishing getting ready. He was happy to pose and smile for the camera and he was super helpful showing me around the garden. Once everyone was ready we started with a big group shot inside their beautiful home.
For this year’s family session we had Erica’s parents, her brother and his wife and their young daughter. After doing a couple of group photos inside their house, we moved outdoors. Their home is located on a canal – a wonderful location for photography. The morning light was changing very quickly so we had to move around looking for the best spots.
Sylivie and Ludo had a blast playing with their young cousin. Here are a few images from their family portrait…..
