The Ferris Family are adventurous. They fish, they scuba dive and they love to have fun and by the time we met up with them a few days into their family vacation seemingly they had visited most parts of Providenciales. There was no way they were going to setting for quick sunset family picture for his year’s gathering. It was fantastic then to be able to get grandparents, grandkids and all into the minivans and use the TCI as a backdrop for some lovely family pictures. With 3 “under four” we returned to the villa for a quick break before finally heading to the beach for sunset.
Rob and Wendy live in Turks and Caicos and we’ve helped them in the past with family photo shoots as their three young children grow up in paradise ! With family visiting and the holidays around the corner, it was a perfect opportunity to capture a little family “beach time”. Rob chose a beach they take the dog walking most days and we had a beautiful day and even a close encounter with some wildlife!. With energetic kids this was never going to be a “formal” too posed shoot’, but we worked some magic and pulled together a mixture of some groups and some just plain fun moments.
Many brides that get married at the Beaches Resort want something more than the “on-site” resort photography option, so we’ve developed an “Island Escape” for those brides that is a fun filled 2-3 hours using some of our favourite locations around the island that we know and love. Alexa and Corey did such a shoot and it was a blast. With so many colourful locations, white sandy beaches – the options for drop dead gorgeous backdrops in turks is almost overwhelming! It’s such a relaxing way, without the pressures of the wedding day or having other tourists hanging around to just be the two of you – together. After a lovely site visit in April this year we were very excited to help Carrie and Matt with their elegant wedding at the always lovely Regent Palms. December weddings are always fun and with all the planning and details that Carrie had clearly put into her wedding, this was going to be a very “photogenic wedding”. With six bridesmaids plus flower girl, parasols for the beach, Diane from Island Harmony coordinating the day, Geraldine and Ann helping with hair and makeup, Kelci on the steel pans during the ceremony and then an awesome party in the P23 restaurant with DJ William John…well WOW !!
We meet an amazing range of people in Turks and Caicos. It’s one of the fun things about living in such a “destination” country. It was great to meet Aarushe nd Rishi last week, as they had travelled from India to spend time in the USA and then a few days in the Turks and Caicos islands at the Regent Palms resort. With only a day or so left on their stay we managed to fit in a quick shoot on their last day, just before sunset. Now I just need to hand deliver their pictures and do a second shoot in India 😉Read More »Turks and Caicos Islands, Aarushe & Rishi’s romantic escape.
It’s been a very busy few weeks with the holiday rush, but also the 12.12.12 wedding date that had the whole island caught up in “wedding fever”. I’ve been looking forward to Alison and Nikheel’s wedding for many months now and cannot believe it came so soon. This was always going to be an “event” given the popularity of the couple and connections both personal and professional across the Turks and Caicos. However they still managed to keep it personal and special to them which was quite an achievement and is reflected in the genuine smiles and expressions you’ll see in their wedding photographs.
Whilst the rest of the world (northern hemisphere anyway) view December as a cold, chilly and wintery month, to us in Turks and Caicos it’s a month of blue skies, soft trade winds and a refreshing 75F and a welcome relief after the hot summer months. The natural beauty of Turks dios not disappoint on Sara and Dennis’ wedding day. They brought there own splash of orange colour with even dad sporting some colourful socks! A picture perfect destination wedding with Lynne from NILA Destinations keeping us all inline and on-time!
