A classic Turks and Caicos sunset capped off a wonderful afternoon spent with Samantha and Ricky. After meeting and collecting them from the Gansevoort we headed around the island for our classic island escape. Lots of local color, a stop for cracked conch and a drink…what a great way to spend the afternoon!
For Autumn and Michael it was all about sunrise and watching the sun come up over the ocean. It was amazing to see so many friends and family willingly get up at 5am to be on the beach at 6am, though I think a few never went to bed ! Long beach is the only beach facing east so a perfect location for sunrise. A brunch back at the resort followed later that morning and a first dance that was a multi-song routine that people will be talking about for a long time to come!
The name itself conjures up the elegance and style of caribbean luxury. Any event we have the pleasure of helping with at Amanyara is always beautiful. After a quick pre-wedding meeting with Christin we put together a plan for a “first look” and a wonderful, but simple wedding on the beach at sunset.
Lovely family, lovely resort, great kids. What more is there to add?
Amongst the weddings and family portraits this busy season we’ve also been helping couples who are planning weddings later this year and next. Ashley and Michael came in for a chat at our studio and then we drove over to the Vernada for a 20 minute photo shoot.Just fun.
This was a wedding I have been looking forward to for months. Why? Devon and John themselves. Such great people, great sense of fun and wonderful together. Add in the Gansevoort as a backdrop, a black and white theme, NILA Destinations crew on hand to coordinate every moment, a rehearsal dinner on the beach with Bowen Arrow (great band) and dinner under the stars…..aahhh
You are never sure what you will get with a two year old. Terrible “two’s”?? Too Shy? Lot’s of energy? Have they had a nap? Hungry? Well add on that just getting the photography, exposures, light and locations right – you have a fun time ahead. Luckily Waylan was fantastic – not at least shy, full of energy and happy to “play” with me and help get the shots that mum and dad wanted.
