We love to learn…it’s part of our DNA and one of the main reasons why we are one of the top five studios in the Caribbean is our continual investment in our team. These are the guys (and gals) who will be shooting your wedding or family portrait – so we take a lot of pride in making sure they have the best equipment and best training. It was amazing then to be able to have the legendary Joe Simon come down for a master class on storytelling and making short films.
It’s always great when couples have the opportunity to come down ahead of their wedding an scout things out, check out resorts and restaurants and together plan a really special wedding celebration. Chita and Jeff are doing just that. They have some great ideas and it’s going to be a fabulous party. Whilst we do offer couples a free engagement shoot for their wedding, Chita and Jeff really just wanted one picture – jumping into the ocean!
Hope you are all having a great valentine’s day. We thought in the spirit of the occasion we’d share some love and things you might not know about us…Just some FUN !!
Exactly a week ago Tony and Liselott exchanged vows on the beautiful white beach in front of the lovely Point Grace resort on Grace bay beach. With family members and a few close friends it was a delightful, simple and meaningful ceremony organized by the ever efficient NILA destinations.
It was actually Tony who suggested Turks and Caicos, he’s visited the island countless times and a beach wedding was the “right fit” for the type of wedding they wanted to have.
This year has been great. We’ve had about a 50:50 split between shooting new families and returning ones.
It’s always fun to catchup and see how things have changed, but also stayed the same. I love that look in a kids eyes that says “I kinda remember you but I’m not sure”, then we start the shoot and they click into it, relax and its all fun.
Monize like most young mums is the picture taker in the family, but that means she misses out from being “in” the pictures. With such a gorgeous backdrop as the Amanyara Resort in Turks and Caicos it made perfect sense to capture some fun moments with the family AND to be in the pictures too !! The most important thing? She was looking for a relaxed shoot, not formal, candid fun.
From the first picture to the last it was a delight. Two year old Tomas was wonderful ;a very happy, fun toddler…we had a blast..
It’s clear from this and several other recent posts that Turks and Caicos has been a busy place over the holidays. It’s the perfect place to re-connect with your family and the resorts have been full with plenty of guests having a great time.
A repeat visitor to the Turks and Caicos and long time client of ours are the Lebovitz family. It’s been a delight to watch the families expand, the grandkids get bigger year after year. We arranged a quick family shoot late last week at the lovely Grace Bay Club resort to capture this special time together.
