Love to shoot at different locations! Anne and Phil got married on the deck of Villa Camilla overlooking the beautiful Grace Bay Beach. Now although I am quite familiar with the location 🙂 I never realised how photogenic the Villa was with all its natural light, just gorgeous. Anne and Phil came to visit the islands with the two of them and what a great couple! Eden from Nila Destinations and myself started the wedding day with some great laughs helping Anne into her gown and making sure Phil’s bow tie was in the perfect place! I absolutely loved their outfits and what a story that comes with Phil’s suit 🙂Read More »Anne and Phil got married
Even though we have been blogging about the fun times we have with destination weddings, with honeymoon couples and families for a while now (4 years) it was still a great surprise to be invited to talk to other local companies in the TCI at a business lunch hosted by Digicel this week. The talk was to be about blogging – why blog, how to blog and a few tips we have picked up along the way – nice and simple!
Michelle and Jon came to the islands this week to check out everything that is going to be so very important to them on their Wedding Day. The location, the flowers, the minister and of course the photographer 🙂
I was the lucky one to shoot some of their engagement photos. Although we normally book our sessions one hour before sunset I can just say….. WOW! They were staying in the Regent Palms and this little walkway to the Spa just had this amazing light coming in. Of course we also took some images on the beach and the blue of the ocean almost looks fake. I would not recommend 10:30 am for a wedding, but if you can control the squinting a little bit and take some photos with sunglasses in a photo shoot…..too cool.
Here are some of my favorite images of this great couple.
Angela and Rich are planning a December destination wedding in Turks and Caicos and there quick trip down to scope out various venues, restaurants and ideas was perfectly timed. Over the weekend there was an actual destination wedding on beach in front of the Somerset resort, so it was fantastic for them to be able to see the event unfold, the flowers, the setting and how it all could be for them! How cool is that!
(That wedding you will be able to see SOON!! as Kellie, David and Chris were covering the event – so keep on eye on the blog for the future post and movie!)
Last Friday I was invited by my good friend Karen to come and see Marvin Henfield’s new show at Tropicana Plaza. I just happened to have my little Canon 20D in my car so I quickly grabbed it. What a great show! Fire dancers, Limbo, Dancers and a Steel Drummer. Not to mention Marvin himself who sang the beautiful Harry Belafonte song Try to Remember.
For the few that don’t know Marvin, he is a famous singer here in the Turks and Caicos Islands with an amazing voice.
Show times will be every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The doors are open at 7pm and the show starts at 9 pm. It will be a dinner and a show ( dinner is optional ) and dancing to the old goldies after. For reservations call (649)332-7687/346-3000. I am definitely going again 🙂 Read More »Tropicana Show and Supper Club!
Jad had the engagement ring with him for one month already, while waiting for the perfect moment to ask Cheryl to marry him. After letting his mind run crazy with all the different options he decided not to wait any longer, so one morning on a beautiful day off and having a great breakfast he went down on his knees…….yes in the kitchen. How is that for all the ladies that are still dreaming of their man in the kitchen 🙂
Well it’s that time of year again when the Christmas card has to be done and to be honest I don’t take enough pictures of my own kids anyway…so yesterday off to a local spot we know to do a quick shoot before lunch…
Problem is – working with your own kids -they know me – my old tricks don’t work on them anymore – or do they??
