Weddings at The Sands in Turks and Caicos

May is always a busy month with destination weddings, especially during the weekends. So it is always nice to get the opportunity to do some family sessions with kids during the week. On May 2nd Anita and I met with the Pastors family at The Sands Resort. They requested a morning shoot because that’s when the kids are the most wide awake and smiley! Although it’s brighter and hotter and difficult not to squint in the morning sun, it allowed me to capture vibrant colours. We started with quite a few photos in the shaded areas around the beautiful resort gardens. For the last part of the session we moved to the beach were we had the perfect background of the varying turquoise colours of the ocean. Here are some images from their session…
The wedding of Anne & Jeff
The one thing that all couples hope is guaranteed when booking their wedding here in the Turks and Caicos is a perfect weather day. However, in one of our recent weddings, the weather didn’t want to cooperate but fortunately Anne and Jeff didn’t let it spoil their special day. In fact, they embraced it and their wedding ceremony and celebrations went ahead as planned. Both Bride and Groom and their wedding guests were full of smiles throughout!
As ever, Diane and her team from Island Harmony did a great job planning and organizing the wedding, even if a little tested by the inclement weather on the day.
We managed to get some photos of Anne and Jeff and their family in the gardens of The Sands resort before the rain came fast towards us but I couldn’t let the couple leave without taking some photos of them a couple of days later in the sunshine on Grace Bay!

The wedding of Sharon & Robert on Bora Bora, French Polynesia- part 1 –
Who doesn’t want to go to Bora Bora? When you hear these two words, the first image that comes to most people’s minds is beautiful beaches with big mountains in the background. It is probably quite high on many people’s list of places to visit!
So, Andy and I were fortunate enough to travel all the way from the Turks & Caicos Islands to Bora Bora to photograph the wedding of Sharon and Robert Higgins. It took us over two days of travelling to get there but we were very excited to be photographing a wedding in one of the most beautiful and exotic places this world has to offer.
Here are a few scenic images I took while staying at the Four Seasons Bora Bora. One of the things that amazed me the most was the thousands of stars you were able to see every night in the sky.
