Weddings at The Sands in Turks and Caicos

Ashley & Todd Get Married!

The Sands Resort on Providenciales has been a major venue this season.  We have been hired for quite a few photo shoots and weddings and it was just recently on House Hunters International.  The most recent wedding I photographed there was Ashley & Todd’s.  They celebrated their special day with close family and friends, and had almost the whole beach to to showcase it. Read More »Ashley & Todd Get Married!

Turks and Caicos Islands, The Sands Resort, Too cute for words !

Amidst the furious wedding season that is upon us I was delighted to help Jo and Natalie and three year old Rebecca with a quick early morning family photo shoot on the huge beach right in front of the Sands Resort. Rebecca was a true “star” and was simply having a wonderful time playing with mum and dad as we worked our way through the lush tropical gardens and down to the beach. The early start meant that the beach was virtually all our own as we ran, jumped and played in the sand. What a great way to start the morning off !

The Wedding of Heather and Tim – Grand Turk

Grand Turk, the capital of the Turks and Caicos Islands, recently became the hot port of call for many Caribbean cruises. Thousands of people have the chance to sunbathe on miles of quiet sugary beaches and explore this unique piece of paradise. Heather and Tim chose to make this cruise spot really special by pronouncing their wedding vows on a pristine stretch of sand, joined only by their beautiful 5 kids and the friendly Pastor Chad.

A few emails, a couple of fun ideas, some organization and the big day started as planned and finished even better…

Turks and Caicos, The Sands Resort, Sandra and Randy’s engagement shoot

So many congratulations to Sandra and Randy on their engagement. They’ve picked a date (see pictures below), but not yet found that perfect location, though I think Turks and Caicos is a possible early favorite and we chatted about several different resorts during the photo shoot.

Sandra is a member of the bestdestinationwedding forum so she will have plenty of great people who can give her advice.

Fun, simple shoot…love it.

Turks and Caicos Islands, Ashleigh and Paul’s Wedding by boat !

I did a post a few days ago about helping some friends with a family photo shoot who were down in TCI for another friend’s wedding – well here it is !!

Ashleigh and Paul’s Wedding was on the extraordinary half moon bay beach on big water cay – so everything had to go over by boat for the ceremony… With Paul getting ready at the Sands, Ashleigh at Villa Renaissance and the reception afterwards at Opus – we covered a lot of ground.

With so many local guests that live and work in TCI it was part reunion, part work ! Great crowd of people and a truly fun wedding.

The Wedding of Courtney and George

Breathtaking! The bride, the groom, the all wedding. Courtney and George got married on the pristine beach of the The Sands resort  on a full moon night, starting a new married life as beautiful as the two of them.

Courtney mentioned they haven’t taken professional pictures probably since high-school and I may have some less than flattering shots – are you kidding me?!? Looking at this couple is pure eye’s candies!

The Wedding of Stephanie and Martin

12 years together, 2 gorgeous boys and thousands of wonderful life experiences lead to a magical day: their wedding. Stephanie and Martin left Montreal’s cold winter and chose the Turks and Caicos Islands to celebrate their union with the closest family members and friends.

Unfortunately Beaches Resort strict policy didn’t allow me to get on property and cover the preparation and ceremony shots, but it didn’t stop us to get wonderful pictures. Read More »The Wedding of Stephanie and Martin
