Many couple’s dream of eloping. Just running away together to some far distant island where it can be just the two of them; simple, romantic, elegant. Many couples do this, but more often than not, everyone back home knows they are “eloping’. Not so with Alison and Julian. They plan to surprise everyone once they get back home. In fact I am waiting to hear from them before I post this blog. Don’t want to have a ” google search” spoil the fun ! Just nice people ! Add in a dose of close family and a last minute success with his brother Raoul able to make the wedding, this small intimate family wedding was just great. Even the torrential rain during the reception was avoided by always having the dinner planned for the Penthouse with it’s spectacular views of Grace Bay beach. Simple, fun and relaxed.
We re now firmly into the prime wedding season in Turks and Caicos with destination weddings every weekend and even a few in between. What fun !
A great start to our “season” was the wedding of Tricia and Matt at the Alexandra resort. A “sweet and simple” wedding with 70 guests, lots family, petal toss on the beach and cocktails and the reception at the lovey Mango Reef which is right on the beach. The colors for the reception were stunning as always with Tropical DMC and Environmental Arts doing a great job as always. With the sun hanging in the sky we had the first dance as the light slowly disappeared which are some of my favorite pictures from the wedding.
