We’ve had so much rain over the last couple of weeks. OK probably not that much compared to those that live north of us in more temperate locations, but when it only rains as little as it does here (think dessert) we tend to notice it…a lot. Of course rain also cause problems when everything we do in Turks and Caicos is outside.
However the island does have an uncanny ability to time these rain storms to work around our wedding and photo plans. As I was walking to Grace Bay Club it was raining. Then again whilst Sarah the bride was getting into her dress. But then the clouds parted the rain held off and we had some of the only rays of sunshine of day ,illuminating the driftwood arch on the beach…perfect! Sarah was a fabulous bride and never showed any stress about the weather. She managed to get three kids and herself ready into one of the most amazing wedding dresses ( by Galia Lahav) I have ever seen in record time. Jason had the boys and was cool , calm and collected throughout. Stunning couple and great fun. Shameka at Grace Bay Club was coordinating up a storm watching the weather, wiping off chairs and helping Sarah with her dress around the puddles. Awesome !
Also check out the sand ceremony bottles – one for each of the “kids” in the new family. What a great idea.
