You set your Caribbean destination wedding day in the sunny Turks and Caicos for a date in October. You have your hair done, your make up, your friends are all ready to celebrate and then it happens…..no sunny Turks and Caicos that day, but pouring down rain….and not just a little shower but complete overcast and wind and all the things you did not come down for to get married in. That is what happened to Deborah and Jeff. Now what? Your photos can look so amazing here, just not in that weather. We decided to postpone the wedding to the next day, pastor Padmore could do it-check. Hair dresser called- check. What if the rain does not stop? We called in a big favor from Alex Foster, the wedding planner at Blue Haven Resort to use their gazebo for the ceremony, just in case. Noon came around the next day, and no, again not a good day for a wedding. Can we postpone again? Is it possible. The weather seems to look better on Thursday. It is now Thursday, our bride Deborah is walking to the hair salon Tangled to see her hairdresser again and gets rained on. Two online weather reports state that the afternoon is going to be sunny. Let’s do it! All set and then, yessss…the weather is gorgeous, pelicans on the dock, turquoise ocean, cocktails, conch knockers and cracked conch at Da Conch Shack, what a perfect wedding day.
