like rain on your wedding day

One of the many attractions of the Turks and Caicos Islands is the beautiful climate. It is the quintessential island destination. Powder white sand meeting the Turquoise water under clear blue skies have made the island an irresistible prospect for many looking for a romantic destination. It is this image that is used to promote the island for those fortunate enough to choose the Turks and Caicos as their wedding destination. However, as anyone will tell you, planning a wedding anywhere is always a lottery as far as the weather is concerned, and as wedding photographers in the Turks and Caicos islands, we aren’t guaranteed postcard weather either.
Ian and Arielle Julie are somewhat of an anomaly in that the rain on their wedding day did not deter them in the slightest. With smiles that could light up the darkest of days, Ian and Arielle stood in the warm Caribbean rain and exchanged vows. It’s then that you realize that their love for each other is what’s of paramount importance. It was abundantly clear that their coming together as husband and wife, surrounded by family and friends was their number one priority. A little rain did not disrupt proceedings. it’s what made their wedding unique and memorable. The very nature of weddings allow for potential setbacks. Keeping to a schedule is difficult enough without having to contend with unavoidable external factors. Having a wedding planner can prove invaluable in ensuring that the couple can concentrate on what’s important and not get too concerned about the little things. Step up Nila Destinations who did a great job coordinating the wedding to ensure that there was as little disruption as possible and Ian and Arielle were able to enjoy their dream wedding no matter what the weather.

  2. Ian and Arielle’s Beautiful Burlap Wedding | Stacie Steensland - July 27, 2013

[…] On May 25th I was contracted to give the standard Nila Destinations bamboo wedding arch an elegant upgrade without departing from the couple’s nuetral, earthy color palette.  Burlap draping was the perfect compliment to this gorgeous understated wedding.  Louise from Nila created chic tablescapes using burlap runners, driftwood, and simply laid white cala lilies, succulents, and large leaf and greenery stems.  I absolutely love the cascading wild bouquet and can’t get over how adorable this couple is!  Though it rained, they didn’t let it rain on their parade!  Please read a full post and see many more images on Brilliants blog.
