After shooting weddings in the Turks & Caicos for over ten years, I still get excited every time I have the opportunity to photograph a wedding at the beautiful resort of Parrot Cay.
The resort, which is located on a small private island, is very exclusive and it’s relaxing atmosphere makes it the perfect location for big or small weddings.
On May 9th I took a 30 minute boat ride to the island where I was warmly welcomed by the staff at the Parrot Cay dock. I was there to photograph a very small wedding with just the bride and groom.
I first meet with Matthew at the old resort SPA where he told me that Eleanor, his wife-to-be, was the first girl he kissed when they were just kids. Matthew and Eleanor planned their wedding just a few weeks prior to their special day. They knew that they wanted something very laid back and relaxed and Parrot Cay was the perfect place.
Their ceremony took place on the beach, attended by a few people that Matthew and Eleanor had met in the resort during their vacation.
