An underwater maternity Shoot

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to do an underwater maternity shoot with a great couple at the Amanyara Resort.

I have done quite a few underwater trash the dress shoots this wedding season. However, this was one of the very few maternity shoots I have done underwater so I was really looking forward to it.

On the day of the shoot I met with Andrea and Jeff early in the morning at the beautiful Amanyara Resort. First we did some photos around the resort, an outstanding property with some incredible views to the northwest side of Providenciales.

The underwater part of the shoot was incredible, we were very lucky to have a day with flat and crystal clear water plus we had a big school of silver side fish that helped to make some great images.

Beach Maternity Shoot

Mia has helped us before with photo shoots and also lived in Turks and Caicos until recently. It was lovely to catch up with her and help her celebrate her second new addition on the way! With busy schedules it took a little while to set up a day and time, but it was well worth it. Love the color and vibrancy of shooting at this time of day. Turks and Caicos is such a great place for a maternity shoot with it’s relaxed vibe.

A simple maternity shoot on Gracebay beach.

It does not seem five years ago that we were helping Thermala and Sam with their wedding day. How time flies in paradise! It was wonderful to have Thermala reach out to us to help them celebrate the upcoming arrival of a new baby. Is it a boy or a girl? They don’t know and it will be another couple of months until they find out. A simple maternity shoot on Gracebay beach was what they wanted and exacty what we did. Lovely couple and we cannot wait to see the new addition in the New Year ! A low key family moment to reflect and celebrate this moment in life.

A baby moon bonanza!

We’ve experienced our own baby moon bonanza at the studio in 2013/12 with no less than three new babies and now its seems that Turks and Caicos is experiencing its own Baby-moon fever as we welcome lots of lovely couples to Turks to take a moment to enjoy the anticipation of a new baby in 2014. Two shoots recently and seeing several mums on the beach as we visit the resorts for other shoots – what a great time!  Meeting up with Amy ad Jo was great fun this week. Such a lovely couple and a perfect day at the Gansevoort. Cannot wait to see everyone and capture those first steps in the sand!
