Destination weddings at the Gansevoort Turks & Caicos

This year has been a busy and great year with destination weddings at the Gansevoort Turks & Caicos.  This beautiful resort located at one of the ends of Grace Bay beach seems to be a popular choice for a lot of couples coming to the Turks & Caicos to get married.

Christy and Gordon wanted to have a small, private wedding, and the Turks and Caicos Islands and Gansevoort Resort met all their needs.

On August 2nd they celebrated their wedding ceremony at Grace Bay Beach, where a small group of family and very close friends came all the way to the islands to celebrate with them.

Their wedding reception took place at the same beach where Christy and Gordon wanted to get some fun photos with sparklers.

Here are just a few images from their wedding day….

A beautiful wedding at the Somerset Resort

I met Stacey and Brian for the first time during the site inspection before their wedding. Despite their short visit, they made time to do an engagement photo session with us.

During their engagement shoot at Leeward Beach, I learned this couple was full of energy and loved to have fun. I knew this was going to be an exciting wedding to capture.

After looking at a few resorts around the island, Stacey and Brian chose the Somerset Resort as the perfect venue for them to tie the knot.

Stacey and Brian said their wedding vows on July 11th on Grace Bay Beach under an exquisite driftwood archway, just a few feet away from the ocean. Lynne, an event planner from Nila Destinations, took care of all the arrangements for their wedding day.

The couple had their wedding reception at the resort’s croquet lounge – an open-air venue lit up with Chinese lanterns. The night came to a close with a gorgeous firework show.

Destination wedding at the Gansevoort Turks and Caicos

A few weeks back I had the great pleasure to photograph a beautiful, small destination wedding at the Gansevoort Turks & Caicos Resort.

Samantha and Nick and 19 of their very close family members and friends came to the Turks & Caicos Islands to celebrate an intimate beach wedding ceremony.

Samantha and Nick wanted to have a private and laid-back wedding. After looking at a few possible locations, they decided that the Turks & Caicos Islands was the perfect location – plus Nick is a huge fishing fan, and TCI boasts some of the best fishing in the world.

On June 20th, bride and groom were married on Grace Bay Beach just a few feet away from our stunning turquoise waters. We even had some of our local “potcake” dogs join the cocktail party to see Samantha and Nick have their first dance.

Here are some images from their wedding….

underwater wedding photography Turks and Caicos

I remember my first  Turks and Caicos underwater wedding photgraphy – trash the wedding dress shoot like it was yesterday – but it was almost three years ago!

We don’t normally find many wedding couples willing to get completely underwater with their wedding clothes 🙂 but when we do we have a blast.

Capturing Love and Joy in Turks and Caicos: An Underwater Adventure

Turks and Caicos, a paradise of pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, provides the perfect canvas for capturing beautiful moments. While many choose to tie the knot on these picturesque islands, some adventurous souls opt for unique experiences to make their special day even more unforgettable.

One such memorable adventure unfolded with Johanna and Daniel, a couple whose love story is as unique as their desire to make the most of their destination wedding in the Turks and Caicos.

A Wedding Unlike Any Other

Johanna and Daniel opted for an intimate destination wedding in a private villa, surrounded by the azure waters of the Caribbean. As they celebrated their love with a select few, they decided to extend their joyous occasion with something out of the ordinary.

Diving into Adventure

Just two days after their wedding, the couple embarked on an underwater journey with the talented photographer, ready to create a visual story that would last a lifetime. The chosen location was Northwest Point, a spot renowned for its calm and extraordinarily clear waters, making it the ideal backdrop for their unique post-wedding photoshoot.

Beneath the Surface

The underwater “trash the dress” shoot was an incredible and unforgettable experience for Johanna and Daniel. With the sun casting a golden glow through the water and the pristine surroundings, the couple dived into the crystal-clear depths, creating a visual masterpiece that showcased their love, happiness, and the beauty of the Turks and Caicos.

A Glimpse of the underwater wedding photography

Here, we share a few images from their captivating underwater session. These images not only captured their love but also the essence of their adventurous spirits. From playful underwater kisses to serene moments of tranquility, each photograph told a unique story of their connection and their journey as a married couple.

The turquoise waters of the Turks and Caicos Islands, paired with the love and adventurous spirit of couples like Johanna and Daniel, create a canvas of unforgettable memories. This underwater adventure serves as a testament to the magic that awaits those who dare to step off the beaten path and dive into the unknown. Big destination wedding in the Turks & Caicos

After photographing a fun boat trip and a night party at Somewhere restaurant it was time to capture Ashley and Michael’s big destination wedding.

The first time I met Ashely and Michael was a few months back while they were on the island for a few days looking at all the possible vendors and resorts for their upcoming destination wedding in May.

It took lots of planning and organization for this big wedding of over 110 guests, who came from all over the United States to celebrate with the bride and groom and their family members. The special day was May 17th at the beautiful Gansevoort resort, Turks & Caicos.

Teresa and her team from Tropical DMC did a great job planning and coordinating this big event plus all the beautiful decorations making it a very special destination wedding.

Here are a few images from the wedding day….

A fun boat trip before the wedding day

Just a day before before capturing the wedding of Ashley and Michael at the Gansevoort Resort, Anita and I had the opportunity to photograph a fun boat trip before the wedding day with bride and groom, and all their friends, with Caicos Dream Tours.

During the four-hour trip, we fished for conch at Leeward canal, snorkeled the shallow reef of Providenciales’s north shore, and had a beach picnic at Half Moon Bay.

Plentiful beer, rum punch and sunshine ensured everyone had an amazing time before heading back to their resort on Grace Bay Beach.

Here are just a few images from their boat trip…
