A family portrait in Blue Hills

A few weeks ago I had the great pleasure to do a fun family portrait in Blue Hills. The Danics family used to live in the Turks & Caicos but moved back to Canada last year. During this visit to the islands, they decided to use a Gift Certificate for one of our photo shoots that they were given as a present before they left.

For their hour session they decided they wanted something a little different than photos on Grace Bay beach. I thought Blue Hills was the perfect location for some colorful photos with more of a rustic background that can be found in this area.

For the first part we took some photos with the small colorful shops at Sailing Paradise and then went next to the Conch Shack where we took some photos with some of the big Casuarina trees.

A Water Escape family photo shoot

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to do a Water Escape family photo shoot. This is one of my favorite shoots to do as we get to visit some other islands than Provo and snorkel some of the best coral reefs.

On March 27th we picked up the Braden family at Grace Bay Club and then we got into our private bot charter from Caicos Dream Tours.  After a ten minute boat ride we did a quick stop to find some conch for lunch.

After getting some conch and doing some snorkeling around the waters outside the barrier reef we went to Fort George Cay for some island exploration. This is a great place for collecting shells and swimming around it’s very shallow waters. Just before heading back to Provo we did one final stop to another reef to do some  more snorkeling.

Celebrating a 1st Birthday on the beach.

Pinali contacted us and wanted a few fun pictures with family and friends to help celebrate her son’s first birthday. Wow. What a great place to celebrate your first birthday at the Villa Renaissance in Turks and Caicos! The trip also combined an engagement/ wedding planning for her sister so with the other couples in tow we used the lovely resort and of course the beach to capture some 1st birthday moments. A fun engagement session

Just two days after the start of the new year I had the opportunity to photograph a fun engagement session around Provo.

Melissa and her fiancé Ian came to the Turks & Caicos to enjoy a well-deserved holiday and escape the frigid New York winter for a few days

While visiting the islands, Melissa and Ian decided to take the opportunity to get some engagement photos. They will have a destination wedding later this year in Mexico.

For the first part of their Beach Escape photo shoot, we went to the Bugaloo’s beach bar and restaurant to get some photos near the shallow waters of the Caicos banks and with some of the bright, colorful buildings that surround. For the second part, we went to one of my favorite beaches on Provo, Leeward Beach.

A colorful engagement session in Blue Hills

Most of the engagement sessions we shoot are normally around the Grace Bay area, but Kyle and Seana wanted do something a little different and more colorful. We decided to do their engagement session in Blue Hills – a quiet, laid-back part of the island that gives visitors a glimpse into what the island was like many years ago.

Seana and Kyle came to the Turks & Caicos for a short site visit to meet with some of the island wedding vendors to help them on for their coming destination wedding in March.

As part of their visit, they wanted to do a quick engagement session with us. On the day of the photo shoot, I picked them up at the Gansevoort Resort early in the morning and we made our way to Blue Hills.

During the shoot, we stopped at some of our favorite spots like da Conch Shack, an old dock and the colorful kids park.

Turks and Caicos underwater trash the wedding dress

I remember my first  Turks and Caicos underwater trash the wedding dress shoot like it was yesterday – but it was almost three years ago!

We don’t normally find many wedding couples willing to get completely underwater with their wedding clothes 🙂 but when we do we have a blast.

The Turks and Caicos’s incredible crystal clear water helps to capture stunning images. Most of these photo shoot are done a few days after the wedding day.

The last underwater trash the dress shoot I did was with Johanna and Daniel.  This fun couple had a very small destination wedding in a private villa, and they wanted to do something different and fun while they were visiting the islands.

Two days after they celebrated their wedding I took them to Northwest Point, where the calm and clear waters made it perfect for the images we were trying to capture.

Grandkids and great grandkids – a villa vacation full of fun.

We have the pleasure of helping families when they are at their most relaxed, surrounded by family and all whilst enjoying one of the most beautiful place in the Caribbean. A villa vacation is perfect for multigenerational families and we love the relaxed atmosphere and ability to go anywhere and use anything at the villa for the family shoot.  The Duffey family were staying at the very lovely Villa Mirabelle – which is a  favourite of ours with its location right on the sandy beach at Sapodilla Bay.Read More »Grandkids and great grandkids – a villa vacation full of fun.
