Wedding – Boats, Conch and Party Time!

Boats, Conch and Party Time! Day One of Vanessa and Chuck’s wedding last weekend started off with a gloriously sunny day with perfect blue skies. The guests gathered on the beach at the Palms Resort and were soon issued with fins, floatation devices and ushered on-board the boats of Caicos Dream Tours. As we set off to the snorkel sight we were visited by Jojo the dolphin briefly – a good omen if ever there was. It was then a fabulous morning of gathering conch for lunch (no conch no lunch!), snorkeling on the outer reef and then into the beach for some downtime, beach football and taking in the vivid blue water. After a light lunch everyone headed over to Little Water and Big Water cay to check out the native Rock iguana’s before a short boat trip home along the north shore of Provo. The rum punch flowed, the music was cranked up and the party began…and it was only 2pm !!Read More »Wedding – Boats, Conch and Party Time!

one of the best weddings of this year at the Gansevoort

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing one of the best weddings of this year. It was a very small wedding with only ten guests but the decorations and after party were as good as any big weddings I have photographed.

At one point Ariana and Krys were thinking about having their destination wedding in Jamaica or Bora Bora. However, the final decision came down to the photography. They were so impressed with our images that they chose the Turks & Caicos Islands not only for their wedding but also their Honeymoon 🙂

Their wedding took place on October 10th on Grace Bay and the Gansevoort Turks & Caicos was the chosen resort. Picture this…a beautiful ceremony under a driftwood arch, a cocktail party at the resort’s penthouse and a stunning beach set up for the reception. These are a few of many great parts that made up a spectacular day. A spectacular day that ended with a firework celebration on the beach.

Officiant : Pastor Padmore. Location for ceremony and reception:  Gansevoort Turks & Caicos.
Here are a few images from Ariana and Krys’s wedding day….

Kristin and Emmanuel’s wedding at the Somerset

Kristin and Emmanuel were married in May at one of the most photogenic hotels in the Turks and Caicos — the Somerset.

The exquisite architecture and lush gardens make the Somerset one of our favorite places to shoot weddings. And Kristin and Emmanuel clearly agreed.

The bride and groom both work in the medical industry in New Jersey. Kristin is a nurse, and Emmanuel is an anesthesiologist, but for them it’s more than work — it’s what brought them together. Once coworkers, they’re now husband and wife.

Kristin and Emmanuel wanted to share their big day with their family and close friends, and they have plenty of them, with a wedding party of 14 (seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen). And they attracted another friend as we took photos on the beach. A potcake (the mixed-breed dogs that live here in the Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas) decided to join the photoshoot, making sure to get in as many photos as possible. Photobombed by a potcake!

Many congratulations to Kristin and Emmanuel. We hope to see you both here in Turks and Caicos again soon.

Wedding at Gracebay Club

Amy and Jeremy’s Wedding at Gracebay Club was a wedding I had been looking forward to ever since they came down for a pre-wedding visit and engagement shoot. I don’t think we stopped chatting, laughing and playing during that whole shoot and the wedding wasn’t any different!  With Shenique taking taking of the hair and makeup,  Luise from Nila Destinations coordinating and the fab team from Gracebay Club hosting the wedding on the beach and then the reception at the Grill Rouge under the stars, it really was a perfect setup. We also perhaps discovered a new method of measuring how awesome the wedding is – by the number of toasts. I do believe everyone at the wedding at some point wanted to come up to the microphone and say a few words about this special couple. One after another they left their seats and stood up to reminisce, congratulate and pass on good wishes and kind words. FINALLY DO NOT MISS the amazing flower girls dresses…WOW!Read More »Wedding at Gracebay Club
