With the Thanksgiving holiday last week we had several lovely families come down to Turks and Caicos in “multigenerational” or big family groups. I don’t particularly like the term “multigenerational”. Sounds too much like “marketing speak”, to me it’s just a lovely big, regular family. Tim and Paulette were celebrating a wedding anniversary and surrounded by grownup kids and grandkids it was important to capture this special moment. But how do you get pictures of ten people in just under an hour? Also none of the pictures below have had any “photoshop work” done on them…zero…Read More »Thankful for big families, Somerset Resort

Kristin and Emmanuel were married in May at one of the most photogenic hotels in the Turks and Caicos — the Somerset.
The exquisite architecture and lush gardens make the Somerset one of our favorite places to shoot weddings. And Kristin and Emmanuel clearly agreed.
The bride and groom both work in the medical industry in New Jersey. Kristin is a nurse, and Emmanuel is an anesthesiologist, but for them it’s more than work — it’s what brought them together. Once coworkers, they’re now husband and wife.
Kristin and Emmanuel wanted to share their big day with their family and close friends, and they have plenty of them, with a wedding party of 14 (seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen). And they attracted another friend as we took photos on the beach. A potcake (the mixed-breed dogs that live here in the Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas) decided to join the photoshoot, making sure to get in as many photos as possible. Photobombed by a potcake!
Many congratulations to Kristin and Emmanuel. We hope to see you both here in Turks and Caicos again soon.

Seeing people we photograph again is always great fun – we get to catch up and wonder where the time went by.. With the Evanco’s they also had two new additions – twins !! Awesome. We made plans to meet them at the always lovely Somerset Resort to create a few easy, low key family pictures. With everyone growing up so fast this is such a great thing to do – the little ones will be running around like crazy this time next year and the big ones will be off on new adventures no doubt.. The Somerset Resort is a great location with it’s great garden area and of course the always spectacular Gracebay beach. With twins and being under 1 it’s always “on their schedule” and cocktails were certainly needed afterwards 😉 but with everyone lending a hand it was made so much easier and was fabulous to play with everyone.Read More »Back at the Somerset Resort.
