Go team NILA!!!!

A site visit to check out your resort is the perfect time to do engagement photos and we’ve had several couples planning weddings for 2015 that have come down to visit us. I think it’s by far the best investment that any couple can make (if budgets permit) to have a visit to size up and get feel for how things will flow during their wedding weekend. Amy is a photographer herself, so that always raising the bar on our shoots, but as a relaxed, fun loving couple they really just wanted a few nice moments rather than anything formal and see what happened!

Back for more family photography in Turks!

It’s just a great pleasure to see families back for more family photography! Rebecca and Brian have been coming to Turks and Caicos for several years now and managed to even persuade other family members to join them this time around. We met them at the Sands Resort this time rather than the usual villa and headed for the awesome Grace Bay beach. What a cool family. We played with the kids, let them jump, run, chase, hug and be playful and in between pulled everyone together for some more “serious” group pictures 😉 Even after the sun set and photos finished we hung out and let the kids draw and play in the sand…love it. Just a great way to spend an hour or so on the beach and some wonderful memories.Read More »Back for more family photography in Turks!

Kaylie and Sean’s engagement photo shoot.

A free engagement photo shoot for couples visiting us here in Turks and Caicos is a wonderful way for us to get to know our future brides and grooms. We hang out, we talk about the wedding, the island. It’s a fun time and really helps lay a great foundation for the wedding weekend itself. It’s also great for couples who perhaps have never worked with a professional photogrpaher before and don’t know what is expected of them. Kaylie and Sean  were a blast. We zipped around the island avoiding some rain and wind to find fun backdrops before ending up on a secluded beach – all to ourselves – perfect.

underwater wedding photography Turks and Caicos

I remember my first  Turks and Caicos underwater wedding photgraphy – trash the wedding dress shoot like it was yesterday – but it was almost three years ago!

We don’t normally find many wedding couples willing to get completely underwater with their wedding clothes 🙂 but when we do we have a blast.

Capturing Love and Joy in Turks and Caicos: An Underwater Adventure

Turks and Caicos, a paradise of pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, provides the perfect canvas for capturing beautiful moments. While many choose to tie the knot on these picturesque islands, some adventurous souls opt for unique experiences to make their special day even more unforgettable.

One such memorable adventure unfolded with Johanna and Daniel, a couple whose love story is as unique as their desire to make the most of their destination wedding in the Turks and Caicos.

A Wedding Unlike Any Other

Johanna and Daniel opted for an intimate destination wedding in a private villa, surrounded by the azure waters of the Caribbean. As they celebrated their love with a select few, they decided to extend their joyous occasion with something out of the ordinary.

Diving into Adventure

Just two days after their wedding, the couple embarked on an underwater journey with the talented photographer, ready to create a visual story that would last a lifetime. The chosen location was Northwest Point, a spot renowned for its calm and extraordinarily clear waters, making it the ideal backdrop for their unique post-wedding photoshoot.

Beneath the Surface

The underwater “trash the dress” shoot was an incredible and unforgettable experience for Johanna and Daniel. With the sun casting a golden glow through the water and the pristine surroundings, the couple dived into the crystal-clear depths, creating a visual masterpiece that showcased their love, happiness, and the beauty of the Turks and Caicos.

A Glimpse of the underwater wedding photography

Here, we share a few images from their captivating underwater session. These images not only captured their love but also the essence of their adventurous spirits. From playful underwater kisses to serene moments of tranquility, each photograph told a unique story of their connection and their journey as a married couple.

The turquoise waters of the Turks and Caicos Islands, paired with the love and adventurous spirit of couples like Johanna and Daniel, create a canvas of unforgettable memories. This underwater adventure serves as a testament to the magic that awaits those who dare to step off the beaten path and dive into the unknown. In the end, the memories they created will be cherished for a lifetime, and their love story will forever be intertwined with the beauty of this remarkable destination.

A pure Turks and Caicos proposal.

Planning a marriage proposal is always a “test”. How to make it original, unique, memorable? Ryan knocked it out of the park ! While I masqueraded as a member of the crew of Kenard Cruising we sailed up to a remote beach where Melissa and Ryan disembarked to walk, soak up the sun and look for shells.  On the way back Melissa “discovered” a conch shell with a phrase they often use between each other written inside. She turned around and Ryan was on one knee!!! From there it was all tears of joy, love, and laughter. The “photo shoot” ? Well really it was just trying to capture 10% of the emotion that was self evident and all around!!!  So many congratulations to Melissa and Ryan on this amazing day.
