Welcome back to Turks and Caicos!

This year we have seen an increase in the number of families that have been returning to Turks and Caicos for family vacations. The Matejic family is one of the extra special ones as it’s been over 8 years since we last saw them in Turks and my does everyone look so different – all grown up!  We managed to catch up with them a couple of days ago and hang out with the kids (now big) and show them around our home. We found a couple of new areas to use as well as some favourites. great to catch up with everyone and hear what they have been doing over the years. Amazing to think where the time goes, but fabulous that we’ve been able to help them “freeze time” and capture these fleeting moments… Read More »Welcome back to Turks and Caicos!

The McDonald family at the Regent Grand.

A couple of days ago we helped the McDonald family with a simple quick family photo shoot at the Regent Grand to celebrate a birthday. A couple of phone calls to set up everything and then a relaxed 45 minutes or so as we chatted and slowly made our way down to the beach. expectations of a photo shoot are often that it will be intense or almost “invasive’ in some way ! Whilst it’s never total comfort being in front of a camera we were able to put everyone at ease and make the whole experience. fun with some great smiles and moments from everyone. We know this family, like so many, fell in love with Turks and Caicos and we cannot wait to see them back again. maybe an underwater safari or trip to North Caicos is on the cards..fun !! susan and steve’s grace bay club wedding

Susan and Steve’s Grace Bay Club wedding was right in the path of Tropical Storm Bertha last weekend. All the forecasts from Wunderground, Weather Channel, Yahoo all put the rain to start right as the ceremony was due!! Welcome to August !!  As it turned out the storm slowed down and the weather was sunshine and clear skies. Both Susan and steve took all this extra “stress” with remarkable panache and focussed on the ceremony and bringing their two families together. Mom’s, brothers, sister and grown kids on both sides they made the day fun, unique and a perfect destination wedding – low key, relaxed and surrounded by the people they care most about. As Steve said to me beforehand “everyone here is important to us”.Read More »susan and steve’s grace bay club wedding

Family photo shoot

Back for more family fun!

“As soon as I saw the Feit family walking into the lobby of the Regent Grand is was as if time had stood still.” That was how I started the blog post from last year’s family photo shoot with Jonathan and Beth and the rest of the family and it was true again this year. A little older, but still lots of fun, we made our way through the resort down to the beach.  As is always the way with Turks and Caicos we had some wildlife – a school of pufferfish came by only inches from the shore – wow. We jumped, we ran, we played in sandcastles…just a great way to spend an evening on the beach. Such a real pleasure to see everyone growing up each year and clearly enjoying Turks and Caicos at it’s best. I hope soon we’ll be able to take everyone snorkelling and out on the water for even more fun!Read More »Back for more family fun!

Destination wedding at the Gansevoort Turks and Caicos

A few weeks back I had the great pleasure to photograph a beautiful, small destination wedding at the Gansevoort Turks & Caicos Resort.

Samantha and Nick and 19 of their very close family members and friends came to the Turks & Caicos Islands to celebrate an intimate beach wedding ceremony.

Samantha and Nick wanted to have a private and laid-back wedding. After looking at a few possible locations, they decided that the Turks & Caicos Islands was the perfect location – plus Nick is a huge fishing fan, and TCI boasts some of the best fishing in the world.

On June 20th, bride and groom were married on Grace Bay Beach just a few feet away from our stunning turquoise waters. We even had some of our local “potcake” dogs join the cocktail party to see Samantha and Nick have their first dance.

Here are some images from their wedding….
