Gansevoort wedding in the Turks and Caicos Islands

one of the best weddings of this year at the Gansevoort

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing one of the best weddings of this year. It was a very small wedding with only ten guests but the decorations and after party were as good as any big weddings I have photographed.

At one point Ariana and Krys were thinking about having their destination wedding in Jamaica or Bora Bora. However, the final decision came down to the photography. They were so impressed with our images that they chose the Turks & Caicos Islands not only for their wedding but also their Honeymoon 🙂

Their wedding took place on October 10th on Grace Bay and the Gansevoort Turks & Caicos was the chosen resort. Picture this…a beautiful ceremony under a driftwood arch, a cocktail party at the resort’s penthouse and a stunning beach set up for the reception. These are a few of many great parts that made up a spectacular day. A spectacular day that ended with a firework celebration on the beach.
Many thanks to:  Wedding planner Teresa Brunner from Tropical Destination Management.. Flowers by Environmental Arts.  Hair & Makeup: Sheque Perfection

Officiant : Pastor Padmore. Location for ceremony and reception:  Gansevoort Turks & Caicos.
Here are a few images from Ariana and Krys’s wedding day….

Kyle and Seana’s Turks & Caicos wedding

Some of our favorite shoots are with clients who love to smile and laugh — so that puts Kyle and Seana’s wedding at the Gansevoort Turks and Caicos pretty high on our list. Like a lot of our wedding clients do before tying the knot, Kyle and Seana had done an engagement session with us back in October. Right off the bat, Seana told me she prefers having photographs that show her laughing and smiling. Nothing too serious. That’s how I knew she and Kyle would be a fun and easygoing couple to work with. Kyle and Seana opted to have a “first look” before the ceremony, which is a chance for the bride and groom to see each other privately before the wedding. It goes against wedding traditions, but we’re not talking about a traditional couple. After their first peek, Kyle and Seana had a small ceremony with 21 guests on the beach in front of the Gansevoort, with everything organized by Mary from NILA Destinations wedding planners. Their family and friends sat in a semicircle around them as they said their vows, giving the ceremony an intimate feeling. And instead of an arch, they opted for two palm trees. Perfect for an island wedding. Kyle and Seana, thanks for always smiling. We wish you many more years of laughter and hope you return to the Turks and Caicos soon!
