Turks and Caicos most exclusive wedding

Brilliant Studios has been photographing weddings here for the last twenty years and we are proud to have now photographed Turks and Caicos most exclusive wedding yet. Anita and I first met with Robin Lathrop the owner of ByRobin, Inc an Event Management Company who specializes in logistically challenging events all over the world, Lindsey and Cody and Lindsey’s mother a couple of months prior to discuss the plans for their big day. It didn’t take long for us to realize that this was going to be a spectacular wedding. With over two hundred guests and activities that were planned to take place over three days, it was going to take three photographers and a team of videographers to capture this wedding extravaganza of the year! And where would be the perfect venue to hold such an exclusive wedding event? The Gansevoort, Turks and Caicos. To achieve Robin Lathrop’s vision her team needed to bring in containers including such things as lighting, sound, video and specialty decor that could not be sourced here on the island. Over fifty work permits were arranged for her team of specialist brought in to set up and execute the events.  In addition, she brought two bands to perform at the wedding and the beach party. Extra catering staff on island were employed by the Gansevoort to ensure that Lindsey and Cody and their wedding guests had every need attended to. One of the most incredible things about this whole wedding, for me, was where the ceremony and wedding reception took place… The ByRobin team custom built a platform over the resort swimming pool. The flowers, the decorations, the music, the lighting, the food and, of course, the bride and groom and their families made this a beautiful and impressive event. An event that we, here at Brilliant Studios, were extremely proud to have been chosen to capture. Location Wedding: Gansevoort Resort Turks and Caicos. Event Management Company ByRobin, Inc.  A big Thanks to Chrystel  Loyer from Chrystallize photography for all her assistance. Somerset Resort wedding. Michelle and Neal

We first met with Michelle and Neal in August when they were making plans and preparations for their upcoming wedding to be held at the beautiful Somerset Resort in the Turks & Caicos Islands.

After hearing and seeing how excited the bride and groom were for their big destination wedding which would take place in the heart of Grace Bay, I knew this was going to be a great wedding to capture.

Michelle and Neil had family and friends traveling from all over the world to be a part of their special day. The Turks and Caicos was to be the perfect location to bring everyone together, almost one hundred guests in total, to celebrate in style with Michelle and Neal.

On the actual wedding day, Anita and I began shooting photos of Michelle and Neil getting ready in separate rooms in their large suite. What many of the guests didn’t know was that Michelle and Neil were planning to do a first look at the close by resort of The Palms before the ceremony took place. The big surprise was for Neal because he didn’t know that his wife-to-be would be wearing stunning traditional Indian clothes instead of the white dress that she was originally going to wear for the ceremony.

The wedding ceremony took place on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Grace Bay, just a few feet away from beautiful turquoise waters and with the Somerset resort behind them.

After the ceremony on the beach, we had just enough time to photograph the family members and close friends, all of whom were overjoyed for the happy couple. The hot sun gradually started to set over the tranquil ocean and everyone was ready for the next part of the wedding, the wedding reception.

Michelle and Neal’s wedding reception took place a few feet away from the beautiful driftwood wedding arch where they had said their ‘I do’s’ just moments before. DJ Dayoh was the one in charge of getting everyone onto the dance floor which was a specially made wooden structure just begging to be partied on.

The wedding party was scheduled to finish at 11pm but it went on for a little longer as none of the guests wanted to stop dancing! We were all enjoying a great night in the company of great people.

Many thanks to:

The wedding of Joyce & Ethan

A few weeks back we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of a very fun couple at the beautiful resort of the Palms, Turks & Caicos.

We first met with Joyce and Ethan a few days before their wedding to discuss the last few details and timings for their especial day. I knew right away that this was going to be a great wedding to capture.

The wedding ceremony took place on Grace Bay beach next to the Palms Resort where Joyce and Ethan got ready. Around fifty family members and very close friends made it to the Turks & Caicos Islands to celebrate this special day with the bride and groom.

The wedding reception took place on the croquet lawn where everyone had a blast, especially the small kids who took over the dance floor, making everyone join in!

Wedding at the Sands Resort

After my first meeting with Lanie and Steve at the Sands Resort I knew right away this was going to be a great beach wedding to capture. Lanie and  Steve came all the way from Louisiana to the Turks & Caicos Islands wanting to have a destination wedding on the beautiful Grace Bay beach.

Family and friends had a blast celebrating this very especial day with bride and groom plus having a nice holiday at the same time.

Their wedding ceremony took place on April 10th just a few feet away from the turquoise waters of Grace bay. Cocktail Party and reception were on the upper deck of Hemingway’s Restaurant. A big thanks to Keisha Delancey from Destination TCI for all the wedding  planning and decorations.

Fun destination wedding at The Seven Stars Resort

The first time Anita and I met with Angie and Christopher was a few months before their wedding day.  After a short meeting to talk about their wedding plans, we knew this was going to be a fun wedding to capture.

As part of their wedding week we got to capture a beach bonfire, beach barbecue and the big wedding day on December 13th.  For the wedding week, they chose the beautiful Seven Stars resort located in the heart of Grace Bay.

Before the start of the ceremony Angie and Christopher planned to have a private ‘first look’ at the resort garden, something that Anita and I love to photograph. After a short ceremony at Grace Bay beach everyone moved to the cocktail party. It was the start of a long fun night with lots of dancing and a photo booth, which created some funny moments.

Here are just a few images from their wedding day…..

A "day after" shoot for your turks and caicos destination wedding.

Turks and Caicos destination wedding.

A Turks and Caicos Destination Wedding.  Corey and Glen had their Turks and Caicos destination wedding this past week at the Gansevoort Resort and Corey wanted to have a photo shoot where she could go wild wearing the dress, but still be able to wear it the night of the wedding.

So having had a perfect sunset evening the night before we planned a midday/lunchtime shoot in the awesome bright Caribbean sunshine.

We grabbed some beer in a cooler, bought some cracked conch from a local restaurant along the way and over the next couple of hours made our way around the island.
