Elizabeth and Alex’s wedding at Grace Bay Club

Elizabeth and Alex’s wedding at Grace Bay Club was a perfect summer day in Turks and Caicos. It was much more than just a “quick ceremony on the beach and done” as so many elopements around the Caribbean can be.  With a beautiful island to explore, we helped Elizabeth and Alex capture some really lovely moments in some gorgeous settings around the island. While we’ve helped with weddings for 400+ over multiple days, its these elopements and “Island Escape” shoots that often give us as photographers the most flexibility and time. In a way I wish we had this much time and fun with all our couples. All too often its a rush from the end of the ceremony before the last light fades with the sunset. It was fabulous to hang out with this great couple and soak in some Turks and Caicos sunshine and sea breeze whilst we moved from spot to spot capture some special moments. Awesome.Read More »Elizabeth and Alex’s wedding at Grace Bay Club

Parrot Cay wedding perfection.

A Parrot Cay wedding is something I really look forward to. I make no secret that this gorgeous private island 45 mins by boat from Providenciales is one of my favorite places to photograph. The resort, it’s beach villas, the grounds are all stunning. The clean, white walls of the rooms, the contemporary clean design of the villas and the resort itself all lend themselves to great pictures. I also find the staff beyond compare, helpful, friendly and organized. Plus any place that you have to use a golf cart to get around get’s my vote. Susan and Aaron almost didn’t have a photographer – they wanted to keep everything low key, candid, natural. Fortunately (with Danielle’s considerable help who also did a fabulous job organizing the wedding) – we were able to persuade them to let me help. So glad we did. A stunning BHLDN dress. Gorgeous flowers and table decorations from Environmental Arts and of course Parrot Cay themselves providing an unforgettable setting.Read More »Parrot Cay wedding perfection.

An intimate wedding at Grace Bay Club Estates.

This was a really fun wedding. Jill and Jared wanted an intimate wedding at Grace Bay Club Estates and they could have gone the route of a quick  hour of pictures on the beach and done. But from the moment we entered the suite at the Grace Bay Club Estates it was clear that this was different. We often get asked by couples if they should do a “first look”. If they should see each other before the wedding so they can then have more time for cocktails or more variety of pictures after the ceremony. Really it’s a personal choice and how you “fit together” as couple. Some brides want  a heap of  bridesmaids, matching robes, almost a sleepover atmosphere whilst some guys want to hang, have a beer and watch football.  Nothing wrong with that. What was fabulous for this wedding was hanging out with Jill and Jared as they got ready together – just the two of them really. They had fun t-shirts, cuff links and shared notes they had written to each other. It was just fabulous to see them helping each other prepare for their upcoming wedding. Great couple. We also then took the two of them around the island as part of our Island Escape Wedding option. We found some great spots and soon had them back in time for Shameka to make sure everything flowed at Grace Bay Club. A few more pictures on the beach and then we left them to enjoy a very relaxing dinner with Jared’s sister and brother-in-law on the beach. Very cool. Makeup by Shenique, Dress by BHLDN. Flowers by Environmental Arts.Read More »An intimate wedding at Grace Bay Club Estates.

Flying kilts at Seven Stars Resort

Mary Martha and Alastair’s wedding at the Seven Stars Resorts was an Anglo-American match made in paradise. This jet set couple met in Thailand and travelled the world before selecting the amazing Grace Bay beach for their wedding day. With some Scottish heritage in Alastair’s family it was only right that he should wear the family tartan and wow what a colorful sight it made on the beach. It was only overshadowed by Mary Martha’s amazing dress from Katie May in Los Angeles. Makeup and hair was by Ann and Geraldine from Beauty and the Beach and it was great to see Ernst again from Environmental Arts. Pastor Padmore of course was perfection in officiating the ceremony. Naturally the whole day flowed effortless as Lynne from NILA Destinations kept things moving along and had the bride in fits of laughter. LOVE Alastair’s mum’s hat and his grandmothers fascinator.British style !

Erin and Tim’s Sands at Grace Bay Wedding

Erin and Tim’s Sands at Grace Bay Wedding was delightful. Its started off the night before  with a relaxed rehearsal diner at the fabulous Coyaba restaurant, one of the top restaurants on the island. The wedding itself was at the  Sands at Grace Bay which is a relaxed, fun resort with a lovely stretch of beach that is perfect for a destination wedding. Shenique was in the room helping Erin and the girls get ready and the ceremony itself was very personalised with a family friend father Sam officiating with Pastor Coleby in attendance. Singing and a bible reading also made it a special event. After quite an extensive flow of family pictures…(hey everybody wants a picture with the bride!!) we had absolutely stunning evening light to play with. Not a radical sunset, but the colours were still perfect. It was then off to Hemmingway’s for the cocktails, reception and dancing the night away. Do check out the cool cousin’s dance…awesome!Read More »Erin and Tim’s Sands at Grace Bay Wedding

Sara and Clive’s ClubMed Wedding

A simple two person ClubMed Wedding was a riot of color. When we met up with Sara and Clive before their wedding they pointed out a beautiful flame tree that they wanted to include. So we arranged a bit of a “first look” before the wedding so we could include it in the pictures.. After that we headed off on an island tour capturing some great spots we know around the island. We even had time to stop off for a quick rum punch at the Conch Shak. It’s great that the island is so compact and allows us to show it off and still only be 10 minutes away from where the wedding will be. (so much less stress than worrying about “traffic” !) We were back to ClubMed for the ceremony on the beach as the sun was setting and a few moments together before they headed off to Grace Bay club for an intimate dinner for two. Awesome.

A vibrant morning wedding at the Sands Resort grace bay.

A morning wedding at the Sands Resort grace bay was the perfect opportunity to create some vibrant, colourful tropical pictures. With most of our weddings occurring an hour or so before sunset I always love the chance to mix things up. The light is so phenomenal and the colours are hard to believe. The earlier than normal start was not an issue for Jennifer and Tim and their guests, especially with mom having been awake ” most of the night” with excitement. Coffee, snacks and a few “shots” for the boys all helped fuel the morning festivities. The Sands Resort did another fabulous job on the beach and after a small, intimate wedding it was soon time for everyone to head of for an afternoon of sailing. What a great way to spend your wedding day !
