Planning a marriage proposal is always a “test”. How to make it original, unique, memorable? Ryan knocked it out of the park ! While I masqueraded as a member of the crew of Kenard Cruising we sailed up to a remote beach where Melissa and Ryan disembarked to walk, soak up the sun and look for shells. On the way back Melissa “discovered” a conch shell with a phrase they often use between each other written inside. She turned around and Ryan was on one knee!!! From there it was all tears of joy, love, and laughter. The “photo shoot” ? Well really it was just trying to capture 10% of the emotion that was self evident and all around!!! So many congratulations to Melissa and Ryan on this amazing day. Read More »A pure Turks and Caicos proposal.

We have the pleasure of helping families when they are at their most relaxed, surrounded by family and all whilst enjoying one of the most beautiful place in the Caribbean. A villa vacation is perfect for multigenerational families and we love the relaxed atmosphere and ability to go anywhere and use anything at the villa for the family shoot. The Duffey family were staying at the very lovely Villa Mirabelle – which is a favourite of ours with its location right on the sandy beach at Sapodilla Bay.Read More »Grandkids and great grandkids – a villa vacation full of fun.
A wedding anniversary is always a very special occasion but celebrating 50 years of beautiful marriage is really something! And what better way to celebrate than coming to the Turks and Caicos islands with your family, which is what Connie and Rodney did.
On January 31st Craig and I met with the family at The Sands resort. Over the next hour we captured some photos around the beautiful resort gardens and then we moved to Grace Bay beach to catch the last few minutes before sunset.
Here are some highlights from the wedding anniversary photo shoot…..
We’ve known Mark and Anna for years and it was wonderful when they asked us to help with their wedding. We knew it was going to reflect there “island roots” and lifestyle, and be low key, charming and fun. It was a true Caribbean wedding with visitors and family flying in from Jamaica and beyond plus a whole host of close personal friends from right here in Turks and Caicos. When you’ve known the bride and groom for year’s its always that much more intimate, more personal, more relaxed and fun. We could mention that the power to the wedding and reception villa cut out as Anna walked down the aisle!!!!!!!! – but thanks to the team at the villa AND the guests present, that wasn’t the main story of this wedding day.Read More »A Caribbean Wedding to remember!
It appears that girl’s getaway trips are becoming more and more popular. We’ve helped several groups this summer and its not just limited to birthdays or bacholorette parties. Even Luxury travel mum Kim Marie recently blogged about such trips.“Five Great Reasons to Grab a Girlfriend and Go” A quick call one friday and a few hours later I walked in to see Caryn and Lindsay “prepping” for their shoot. We narrowed the outfits down from 6-7 each to 3 each and headed to the perfect cove and beach right outside their Amanyara villa. I think I found my new favourite photo spot in Turks and Caicos. No wonder Sports Illustrated used that same spot earlier this year…Read More »Girls getaway’s – Amanyara style!
Villa del Mar is a great base for family vacations in Turks and Caicos. It has great rooms, a lovely pool and is a short walk to the Grace Bay Beach. Tara and Nick and their two young children clearly had been having a great time and it was a pleasure to carve a little time out of the vacation for some family pictures. I really believe that it’s a big advantage when photographing kids to be a parent yourself. You know the tricks, the looks, the turn of phrase that helps get them into having fun and relaxing. With Kelan and Kali, it was just great fun – we ran, we jumped, we chased…what a great time on the beach..Read More »Tara and Nick bring the kids to the beach.
