Turks and caicos 0053

A pure Turks and Caicos proposal.

Planning a marriage proposal is always a “test”. How to make it original, unique, memorable? Ryan knocked it out of the park ! While I masqueraded as a member of the crew of Kenard Cruising we sailed up to a remote beach where Melissa and Ryan disembarked to walk, soak up the sun and look for shells.  On the way back Melissa “discovered” a conch shell with a phrase they often use between each other written inside. She turned around and Ryan was on one knee!!! From there it was all tears of joy, love, and laughter. The “photo shoot” ? Well really it was just trying to capture 10% of the emotion that was self evident and all around!!!  So many congratulations to Melissa and Ryan on this amazing day. Honeymooners in Paradise

It’s always fun to meet couples that literally “got married last Saturday”. They are always still slightly “shell shocked” from all the last minute preparations leading up to the wedding, the day itself and then getting ready to fly off on honeymoon. It’s intense, it’s busy, its a whirlwind, so by the time we meet them a few days later they are blissfully happy and enjoying the afterglow of such a wonderful memory and moment. Plus who isn’t happy on their honeymoon!!  Read More »Honeymooners in Paradise

Ttd shoot

Day after the wedding or “TTD” shoot.

This year we’ve seen a rise in the number of brides that have asked us to help them with “day after” or Trash the dress” shoots. Now for clarification, a trash the dress (TTD) shoot doesn’t mean that every bride has to destroy her dress in these fun shoots. we are quite happy if just the bottom gets a little sandy – no pressure from us, but with such amazing water (plus it’s warm!) we do find lots of couple’s making the plunge!Read More »Day after the wedding or “TTD” shoot.

Turks and Caicos trash the wedding dress

After capturing two wedding ceremonies on two different days with Katlyn and Neil, we met once more but this time it was for a very different type of photo shoot; an underwater ‘trash the wedding dress’.

We don’t normally get the chance to capture these types of images very often, but when we do, we love it! Swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Turks & Caicos plus taking underwater photos is just amazing and lots of fun.

For the photo shoot we went to Smith’s Reef near Turtle Cove Marina. The water that day was flat calm and super clear…add to that a good looking couple and you have the perfect combination for some beautiful images!
