Turks and caicos wedding

Alexa and Ben’s musical wedding at the Beach House.

Alexa and Ben’s wedding at the Beach House was a fantastic wedding. Whilst every wedding we do is special, for us  when we have the opportunity to collaborate with other artists it’s just an awesome “vibe” and helps us raise our creativity even more. Being from Nashville, TN was a clue that this would be a “musical” wedding, but we were completely blown away by the talent we experienced not to mention the chicken and gorilla on the dancefloor! Bravo ! Oh and the dress…OMG. Kudos to NILA for helping create another fab event.

Family photography at grace bay club

Family photography at Grace Bay Club

Helping with family photography at Grace Bay Club is something we do a lot and love. It’s such a beautiful resort and its located on one of the best parts of the world famous Grace Bay beach. This past christmas week I met up with the extended Warkhol Family and their four kids under 10. With cousins so close in age it was always going to be fun and filled with energy and fun – just the way we like it!Read More »Family photography at Grace Bay Club

Windsongresort

A family celebration at the Windsong Resort.

The holidays are always a fun and busy time for us at the Studio. Lots of families and lots of photo shoots helping celebrate this special time together. So many families there days are spread all over the USA and the world even, that when the opportunity comes for everyone to be together its a fab opportunity to capture the moment in a fun and low key way. Last week I popped over to the Windsong Resort  to help the Mcfadden family with a short but sweet family photo session. After a few more formal pictures in the resort gardens we headed for the beach and sunset.Perfect.Read More »A family celebration at the Windsong Resort.

What a beach baby!

An inquisitive ten month old and a soft, white sandy beach with gently rolling waves. A perfect scenario for a family shoot and what a “beach baby” Landon turned out to be. Ten months is a great age for a baby shoot. Old enough to sit on their own , but not quite yet walking and running around – you can place them in the sand and they will sit for a while before starting to crawl and explore. Such fun! Despite being on west coast time we started early in the morning and played in the always lovely grounds of the Sands Resort before moving over to the beach. A little playing in the sand and then the “surf zone” and in what seemed a blink of an eye it was over and “nap time”. What a great start to the day !

Trash the dress

Trash the dress on your 10th anniversary.

We’ve had a “flurry” of returning families and couples this past week which has been lovely. Debby and Patrice were married in Turks and Caicos ten years ago at the Point Grace resort.  They have been frequent visitors to TCI over the years and followed our blog so on their tenth anniversary  a “Trash the Dress” shoot and a renewal of vows was on the cards.  The shoots were on two separate days so we picked up everyone and helped with a few family pictures before they headed off to the Beaches resort for their ceremony and then a few days later we did part two with just the two of them. So great to catch up again. The kids were awesome, the family happy to be driven around to some fun locations and I LOVE the shots of the two of them on Taylor Bay – a special place for them… The waves and wind were not too co-operative for the underwater shots and trying to get underwater in a wedding dress that traps air is a crazy difficult task as times (so I’ve been told!!)

How to make your Caribbean elopement fabulous.

There are many destinations in the Caribbean that will offer a simple, two person elopement package. Almost every resort in the Caribbean offers their version of a “Caribbean elopement”, but how to make it unique, different, your own? With Michelle and Donovan last week we helped them create a fabulous elopement by planning a great afternoon of fun locations, a first look at their Gansevoort resort and by creating pictures that have a little “extra” glamour and island vibe but still holding true to their own style and personalities.  Fantastically Michelle and Donovan were  keen to toss out the “30 min shoot on the beach and chocolates on your pillow” and  come play with us in Turks and Caicos as we travelled around the island. It was great fun. We helped with shoes, dresses, timings and had them back to the resort with 5 minutes to spare before the ceremony started. This was a really fabulous wedding – natural, flowing, elegant but with a real tropical twist. I even got to be in one of the pictures !
