With so many families down in Turks and Caicos for spring break it was fun to mix things up a little and help Lauren and Williams with a more romantic photo shoot. We were able to rearrange the shoot to avoid some cloud and rain on our “booked night” and slip the shoot by 24 hours. So glad we did as the sun was out and it was another fabulous afternoon in Turks and Caicos. WOW what a cute couple and so fun to work with. We played. we moved around the island, we tried out a new spot where we’ve never taken pictures before and ended up on the south side of the island with the perfect sunset setting right over the water. Family time at Point Grace Resort

What an amazing week we are having. Yet another “returning family” again a few days ago with Tina and Vance and their two awesome daughters at Point Grace Resort & Spa. Again I did a family photo shoot for them a couple of years ago and it was fabulous to see everyone again. With two daughters of my own just a few years older it was easy to connect, have some fun and let everyone just be themselves. The time just flew by. Point Grace is also such a special resort with just 20 or so rooms it really keeps true to it’s boutique nature. Such amazing traditional Caribbean architecture and probably the best (widest) stretch of Grace Bay Beach out of the whole 12 miles. Spring Break at Amanyara

Spring break is in full swing in Turks and Caicos and we’ve had several returning families back to visit us. Jill and Kirk and their two boys Hunter and Jackson had a few days at one of the resorts on Grace bay before moving to Amanyara. It’s certainly one of our favourite resorts with its Asian inspired architecture and amazing beach. It was back in 2012 that we first did a family photo shoot with them and it was great to see the boys again  -a little older, but just as fun. As a dad myself it’s always special to see families together having pictures, just hanging out and taking a few moments to be together.  Great family in a wonderful location…perfect.

Jennifer and Andrew’s Wedding at Seven Stars Resort

Jennifer and Andrew’s Wedding at Seven Stars Resort was another intimate, fun, family and friends filled affair. A little “wintry” weather also didn’t dampen the occasion despite some strong winds and slightly overcast skies. A beautiful ceremony on the beach, some family pictures in the garden before a couple of cocktails and then a romantic shoot with just the two of them. It was then soon time for the reception, toasts and dancing the night away. Perfect.

Three photos shoots- one family – part two.

So following on from the last blog post – with the super fun boat trip, snorkelling for conch, shipwrecks and underwater pictures – later that day its was “part two and three” of our extended family photo shoot. With some family members not on the boat trip, I did a lovely sunset photo shoot with Grace and Mark and their kids and then a “babymoon” shoot to celebrate a new baby on the way for  Cormac & Stephanie Grace’s brother and sister-in-law.

Three photos shoots- one family – part one.

Family photo shoots are a big part of what we do. The relaxed vibe of Turks and Caicos and of course its gorgeous beach and water are the perfect backdrop for “family downtime” and reconnecting. We often get asked to help with “multigenerational families” – two and three generations all together. When we get bigger groups of 20+ it’s often a challenge to capture all the fun in one go – so with Bethany and her extended family rather than forcing everyone to dress up in “white and khaki” we did three shoots at various times during their stay in Turks and Caicos.Read More »Three photos shoots- one family – part one.

Diana and JR’s Wedding at the Sands Resort

Diana and JR’s Wedding at the Sands Resort was a relaxed, family affair on the magnificent Grace Bay Beach and then  an intimate reception at Bay Bistro. We particularly loved the dress, the shoes , the save the date and other details as well as a picture perfect sunny day with blue skies. The Sands is ideal for this sort of destination wedding , with it;s relaxed vibe and wide beach. Having Bay Bistro also a few steps down the beach makes an excellent combination and perhaps the “perfect” combination on Gracebay Beach.
