The holidays are always a fun and busy time for us at the Studio. Lots of families and lots of photo shoots helping celebrate this special time together. So many families there days are spread all over the USA and the world even, that when the opportunity comes for everyone to be together its a fab opportunity to capture the moment in a fun and low key way. Last week I popped over to the Windsong Resort to help the Mcfadden family with a short but sweet family photo session. An inquisitive ten month old and a soft, white sandy beach with gently rolling waves. A perfect scenario for a family shoot and what a “beach baby” Landon turned out to be. Ten months is a great age for a baby shoot. Old enough to sit on their own , but not quite yet walking and running around – you can place them in the sand and they will sit for a while before starting to crawl and explore. Such fun! Despite being on west coast time we started early in the morning and played in the always lovely grounds of the Sands Resort before moving over to the beach. A little playing in the sand and then the “surf zone” and in what seemed a blink of an eye it was over and “nap time”. What a great start to the day !

This year we have seen an increase in the number of families that have been returning to Turks and Caicos for family vacations. The Matejic family is one of the extra special ones as it’s been over 8 years since we last saw them in Turks and my does everyone look so different – all grown up! We managed to catch up with them a couple of days ago and hang out with the kids (now big) and show them around our home. We found a couple of new areas to use as well as some favourites. great to catch up with everyone and hear what they have been doing over the years. “As soon as I saw the Feit family walking into the lobby of the Regent Grand is was as if time had stood still.” That was how I started the blog post from last year’s family photo shoot with Jonathan and Beth and the rest of the family and it was true again this year. A little older, but still lots of fun, we made our way through the resort down to the beach. As is always the way with Turks and Caicos we had some wildlife – a school of pufferfish came by only inches from the shore – wow. We jumped, we ran, we played in sandcastles…just a great way to spend an evening on the beach. Such a real pleasure to see everyone growing up each year and clearly enjoying Turks and Caicos at it’s best. I hope soon we’ll be able to take everyone snorkelling and out on the water for even more fun!Read More »Back for more family fun!
